European Master in Biological and Chemical Engineering for a Sustainable Bioeconomy

"Extraction and separation strategies in bio-industries: evolutions and innovations" module

During their third semester in AgroParisTech, students from intake 2 attended a module called "Extraction and separation strategies in bio-industries: evolutions and innovations", coordinated by Marwen MOUSSA and Violaine ATHES. This module includes Bioceb students and students from AgroParisTech’s engineering curriculum.

During the course "Supercritical fluids technologies: potential and evolution of bio-industrial applications", Mrs Karine Seaudeau-Pirouley made a demonstration of extraction by supercritical fluid using a portable device.

This module also gave the opportunity to the students to attend conferences about electrotechnologies for extraction from food matrices and biomaterials: Pulsed electrical fields, High-voltage electrical discharges and to visit the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC).
