Enf of the semester in URCA for Sudents from cohort 2

Sudents from cohort 1, spending the third semester in Aalto in 2021 (track 3 and 5)

Meeting with professor Eero Kontturi and Mrs. Anja Hänninen to discuss the master thesis.

Green Line Project 3 team (cohort1) working in Gembloux

The GLP team 3 works on the topic “Interaction between biomass selection and pretreatment for the production of value-added substances or energy”. Many thanks to Aurore Richel and Maroua Kammoun from ULiège who welcomed them in Gembloux Labs.

"We performed a hydrothermal pretreatment with alkaline conditions, to Miscanthus, Barley straw and Aspen pulp.We are eager to characterize here in Paris the liquid phases and the solid phase that we obtained after this pretreatment. The laboratory was awesome and Maroua helped us a lot! We also had the opportunity to gather with our bioceb colleagues that are having their semester there and we shared a beer."

Visit of the Champagne region during cohort 2 Induction Week

Visit of the 4th June 2021 at Fibres Recherche et Développement (FRD Lab) near Troyes

During this visit, the students discovered the diversity of the lignocellulosic raw materials and the way to process them into fibers fitting with materials specifications.
