Lecture on the regulatory aspects of Biofuels in the EU and the world

Francisco Gírio intervened in December during the first semester at Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne. Mr. Gírio is Head of Bioenergy & Biorefineries Unit and Principal Researcher on Biorefineries & Biofuels at the National Laboratory of Energy and Geology (LNEG) in Portugal. The LNEG is a R&D institute oriented to meet the needs of society and business in the field of energy (including bioenergy) and geology with a focus on sustainability, contributing to training, promotion, quality assessment, employability and access to infrastructures. He then focused on the main challenges and achievements of bioethanol biorefineries.

Many thanks to Prof. Caroline Rémond from Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA) for having organised this lecture with Mr. Gírio.

Testimony from Francisco Gírio
